Health monitoring duties for persons conducting a business or undertaking: Guide

Last updated: 25 November 2024

If you are a person conducting a business or undertaking such as a business owner or workplace operator (referred to in this guide as a PCBU), this guide is for you. It explains what your duties are for monitoring the health of your workers under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (the WHS Act), Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (the WHS Regulations). WorkSafe is the regulator for WHS legislation in Western Australia.

When you monitor the health of your workers, you must follow WHS laws alongside other legislation; for example, privacy laws and laws for handling personal information of your workers.
